Of Baseball and Bars

20th July, Friday (San Francisco Time)
Woke up with a wrinkled face (arghh) to work on assignment.
It’s such a pity, not being able to relax. But well, a few more days and I’ll be free to play!

Here’s a photo of my working table. It’s a good life actually. Free wireless access, choice of newspaper delivered to my room, breakfast prepared and a comfy director’s chair to sit on =)

Leaving Los Gatos for San Francisco City tour.

Travelling up to the Twin Peaks at San Francisco

The view from the top is great!

Over looking the horizon of San Francisco City!
Did you see that? I can’t show all the photos here cos it takes ages to upload all these photos on the blog. There are just too many photos to show from the great ocean front and to the civilization of San Francisco! Check it out with me when I’m back =)

Travelling down from the twin peaks, we began the city tour. Again there’s just too much photos to show. From Presidio, new expensive estate, to a place which encourages archealogy and people can do some digging there. Romantic cemetery where couples could engrave their names on both side of the tombstones. Passed some familiar places like Chinatown, Little Italy and was introduced to the all famous Trans National building (again :p)

Was that a christian church or a mosque? Oh.. Seeing a jewish synagogue is rare to me..

A picture with Andrew and Mutsumi, the Barracuda folks covering APAC and Japan.

And finally, at the all famous Golden Bridge!

The Golden Bridge is not golden! It’s red so as it make it look more conspicuous in the fog.

What can I say, all I can say is “wow!”

Going to the bottom of the Golden Gate Bridge

There will never be enough pictures of the much coveted Golden Gate Bridge. So come to me if you wanna see more pictures when i'm back!

The Alcatraz island on the far right.

Travelling down the Twin Peaks and munching on the journey. Eating the Trail Mix provided by Barracuda for this day city tour.

A USD25 gift card from Barracuda Networks to buy lunch and souvenirs during the day tour. =)

Reached Pier 39 =)

Yachts and Boats At Pier 39
(sorry, not a very well stuck together panaromal picture.. but the idea is there..)

Walking along Pier 39 and Pier 40

Ride a traditional horse carriage anyone?

Buskers everywhere. Oh, by the way, Americans don't call them buskers.. they don't have a term for these people performing on the streets..

Had lunch at Boudin. Too bad there isn’t time to go on the bakery tour.

Fisherman’s Wharf. Actually I didn't go into Fisherman's Wharf. But since it is a place of interest, I thought I’ld take a photo of a banner that I’ve been there… =p

Leaving Pier 39. Look at the crowd on a Friday.
I wonder if Americans actually work =p.

This is the Bay bridge. It was built one year after the Golden Gate bridge. I’ll be crossing this bridge for the baseball match this evening which is held in Oakland.

7.30pm
At the baseball match. It’s my first time at the baseball match. It seemed as though people were more excited about getting a baseball hit into their seat so that they can keep it. Bought a Pretzel and Nachos with the Visa Giftcard. I should have known that the portions will be big. It’s too much! I couldn’t finish it. Thought I’ll keep the pretzel for my journey tomm. =)

Crossing the Bay bridge at night. It’s a pity that my camera has ran out of batteries after such a long day. This is the best I could take. It’s quite a beautiful sight actually.

Brrr….it’s super duper cold here in SF. It was already cold at the baseball match, but with the wind blowing, it’s freezing!! We went for a drink at the XYZ bar at the W hotel. No no, I wasn’t drunk.. there’s no photos to prove it cos I’ve ran out of batteries.. But it’s really called the XYZ bar and it’s really in Hotel W. Anywayz, it was really great to be able to catch up with Cathy and meet her boyfriend who came for the drink as well.
Felt totally zonked out after 2 mixes and 1 shot, especially since I’ve already been really so tired being out the whole day.

1.30am (21st July 2007 San Francisco Time)
Andrew sent me back home to San Carlos. A farewell hug to Mutsumi and Andrew before I entered the house. Found the keys at the bottom of the mat, but Lisa came to open the door cos the dogs started barking..

I was so tired that I fell into a deep sleep once my head hit the pillow.. oh well, I did brush my teeth and wash my face before I sleep..
