From Coronado to Los Angeles

26th July (California Time)
Visited a Mexican Restaurant for breakfast buffet. At first I was wondering why I should pay so much (US10) for a buffet where I can’t finish trying out everything, but soon I’ll find out why. Here’re some pictures of the food that was in the buffet. I like the wrap so much that I secretly put one into my bag. Hope it’ll cross the border. =P

After breakfast, we visited Rosarito Hotel.

A hotel famous for it's wall paintings everywhere.

When we went up the bus, 2 Mexican folks came up too. They played and sang on their guitars while we travelled to the border. All I could say is wow. Their guitar skills is really great.
What can I say? Good music and good scenary. Such luxury in life. =)

It's a pity that there's no more time to buy souvenirs. Thought I really wanted to bring back some jumping beans.

11am
And the jam starts at the border to the United States.,
See peddlers walking along the jam selling all sorts of wares.
The above picture is that of a man selling papers while the picture below shows peddlers pushing the drinks carts to the middle of the road to do their business!
2.30pm
Finally passed the US custom.. they confiscated my peaches.. I didn’t know that they didn’t allow fruits..but the security allowed me to bring in the grapes. The tour guide says that the US will not allow anything where worms will grow. Hmmm, you mean worms don't grow in grapes?

3pm
Crossed this blue bridge, known as the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge.and visited Hotel Coronado at Coronado Island. We dropped by Coronado Hotel which was supposedly famous for being the first hotel made of 100% wood.

The above is the orginal elevator which is made of 100% wood. And it is still working. Amazing huh?

The lights were supposedly designed by the founder of Electricity.. pardon me, i couldn't remember if it is Graham or Alexander.. =p

An overview of the hotel from the outside.

Now, guess what is so special about this tree?
It's the world's first electrically Lighted Christmas Tree!

7pm
Still on the road to my hotel in LA. It’s been such a long journey. Notice that we had no lunch break in between? Now we realised the reason for the breakfast buffet. Well, I ate my grapes, a plum that wasn't consfiscated, a granola bar, and the rest of the tortilla (yum yum) for this grueling 8 hour journey.

I needed to call Sylvia when I get back. Same as Richarda, I made the mistake of thinking that a 7 day tour means start on sat and end on sat. Actually we’ll be aheading back for SF tomorrow morning. So I needed to figure out what I should be doing in the day while I wait for Sylvia to arrive at night.

USA Travels Tour Guide drove the 3 of us from Lassen Tours back to our hotel. The timing was great and I saw familiar faces. Stayed in Schuberdu and Debbie's room for a while as we shared with each other our 2 days. Oh, how I look forward to Disneyland soon =)
