Hanging around Silicon Valley

6.30am 19th July (San Francisco Time)
Woke up to a new morning…filled with stress.. I haven’t had time to add more words to my assignment.. and if I don’t complete it tonight, I’ll have to make sure I can finish it overnight at Ian’s place before I depart for the 7 day tour. And I’ll only be back in Ian’s place past midnight as I’ll be going to a baseball game in Oakley, and then have some drinks with Cathy and Andrew... Oh no!!

My face is not only peeling, but it's also cracking!! The weather’s here is so hot and dry that my face is peeling!!! Those who knows me will know that I don’t use moisturizers. Thankfully the hotel has provided moisturizer as part of the toiletries. Begun a rigorous regime of putting moisturizer on my face regularly.

7.15am
Left for the Conference and the guy beside me was from Texas. Struck a conversation with him and he said that Texas isn’t all that “racist” =p. Also heard from him that Las Vegas gonna be about 43 degrees in the day. Oh man.. that’s hot..

Lunch in the Park! Dunno why i didn't take any photos of this. Imagine the carpark (they call it a parking garage) is like 8 times the space area of the office building itself. So big that they have no problems laying 25 tables for 250 delegates to have a comfortable lunch. Nice.

Picture with Niall, VP APAC of Barracuda Networks.

More marketing stuff from Barracuda.

Whispered to Niall that I would like a baseball cap. (Mainly it’s cos I forgot to bring one over from Singapore =p) He nodded his head and said that he’ll take note =p

6.00pm
The conference ended and the delegates proceeded to a bowling alley for the finale night.

Barracuda Networks booked the whole place. So from the Bowling alley to the buffet tables and drinking bar, you could see barracuda banners and adverts on screen everywhere.
I've never bowled so much in my whole life before. Heh, enjoyed it thoroughly. Especially when it's free =p
It was great meeting up with Josephine Teng again. She was from Blue Coat previously and we had met in previous Blue Coat conferences. It was a great feeling for me to meet someone familiar in this conference. In fact a number of the other APAC partners were at the Blue Coat conference in Phuket last Nov. =)

9.00pm
Chose to leave with the earliest bus as I'm tired and am still bogged down by the unfinished assignmetn. Went back to my hotel with 2 pleasant surprises.

1) Breakfast for tomorrow has been prepared! I thought we had to settle breakfast on our own tomorrow.

2) And guess what? I got a baseball cap from Barracuda Networks to accompany me on my city tour tomm! =)

Yay!! I feel so blessed!
