It's a day of walking and walking and walking... because it's Sabbath and our bus driver who is a Jew does not work on Sabbath.
So, we walk from our hotel to the Garden Tomb!

And we walk and we walk..

In the surroundings of the Garden Tomb.

We went to the skull hill first, where Jesus was believed to be crucified.
John19:17Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). Here they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.

Are you able to visualise the picture of the skull on this hill (on the right side)? Here is where Jesus was believe to be crucified.

Here's a closer view..

And now to the tomb!

The dent here at the front of the tomb is shows how huge the stone covering the entrance is.
John 20: 1Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.

People queueing in to go into the tomb.

And guess what? The Tomb is Empty! I have no pictures cos it's just an empty little place!
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

I really had this indescribable joy when I saw an empty tomb. Haha.. the solemnness of waiting for my turn to enter the tomb was changed into a silent victorious joy. Hey, I serve a Risen Saviour!

Rev Stephen preparing the bread and wine for the Holy Communion.

It's sabbath..but the streets are sure noisy and busy!

Fancy a European Restaurant in the middle of Jerusalem? Yes it is. And they charge in Euros.. what a hefty lunch! =P

The Holy Selpuchre is thought to be the
traditional site of where Jesus' body laid.
We managed to catch a procession leading into the Church of the Holy Selpuchre.

Inside the mystic "church" is people, probably Catholic pilgrims, performing all sorts of rituals. Here you see women kneeling and kissing the piece of stone on the floor, which they believe to be where Jesus' body was laid upon.

Around the rest of the Bazaar are shoes/sandals/bags made of camel skin/leather! Was this what Jesus wore during His days?

And guess what I saw at the market place? Crabs!! There are seafood in Israel, just that we don't get it for our meals. (Suits me fine as I'm still recovering from Chicken Pox. =P )

Dinner!
