David's Waterfall and the Dead Sea!!

Sorry to disappoint you guys, I haven't gotten any photos of the beautiful spring and forest in which David was when he hid from King Saul. It was a beautiful place, the only freshwater spring in this desert. Everywhere else was salty water. And what's more amazing is to be able to find a waterfall in the middle of the desert! There was a 6 hour trek and a 90 mins trek. Our group was advised to take the 90 mins trek.

Oh wait.. someone just sent me a photo.. let me put it up.. It's me and Hmay at the first step of the waterfall. We shouted down to Wai See who was at the bottom to take a photo of us up here.
That was really just the beginning of the trek. We climbed, we balanced on rocks to cross the stream and we (yeah, about 4 of us) got lost! We saw a nice little cave and went there. And then we saw some of the folks on a cliff above us, but we couldn't find our way up so we shouted up "Hey, how did you get up?" And the response was "Er, how did you end up down there?" *guffaws* After some "groping" around, we realised we needed to cross the stream (by stepping on rocks in the water) to the other side where there were some steps leading upwards.

And the story goes that I was trying to avoid my shoes from getting wet that I tried to tiptoe on the rocks and lo and behold I slipped on a rock and *KAPLASH*, I fell into the river, together with the camera I'm holding.. From trying to keep dry, to becoming half wet. The rest, as you can see, is no photos for such a beautiful and unforgettable jungle hike in the middle of a desert!

Anyway, I'm glad I had a prompting to bring 2 cameras -- my good old camera as a backup.

And thus, when we reach Le Meridien, what a beautiful sight from my hotel room's balcony.

This is the dead sea in the setting sun. Me and my drying up chicken pox. Would I dare enter into the Dead Sea? The dead sea, being so salty, would sting if any of my sores were open?
Do I dare? Do I? Would I dare? Would I?

By God's Grace! I'm FLOATING ON the dead sea! Been there done that! Thank you to all the special prayer warriors who knew I had chicken pox and prayed that I could still float on the dead sea! I did it! Been there done that!

It was amazing that I managed to float on the dead sea without much discomfort. Apparently someone who had an op about 3-4 years again could feel pain in the area, and another who had an iron scald on her thigh about 2 years again also felt stinging pain where the wound was.

I guess that's what they meant by the "purging" and healing properties of the dead sea..

Sumptuous dinner at Le Meridien!

Venturing out into the shopping area at night. Come all the way here already.. must go MacDonald's..
Cos it's the Lowest MacDonald's on earth! Too bad we reached there too late and it was already closed. Or should I say it's good that we reached it too late, then we wouldn't have to spent USD3 on a Sundae =P

By the way, there's Burger King and Pizza Hut at the Dead Sea too!
