David's Tower

First Breakfast in Jerusalem! And very small cute apples!

Took this photo because I was surprised to see Mercedes Taxi in Israel. After I took this photo, I saw soooo many mercedes cab.. so many that it seems like there aren't other types of cabs in this city. =P

The tower of David in the bright morning sun.

Outside the old Jerusalem city. The walls we see here were built in the 16th century.

Entering the old city via the Jaffa gate.

Oh no, the city gate is locked!!!

Its too early so we can't enter the Tower of David Museum by the front door! Thank goodness the experienced tour guide knows the way through the back door!

It's a very educational Museum which brings us back to the different eras.

The view on the inside of David's Tower.
Viewing Jerusalem from the top of David's Tower.
Flags flying high.
View within David's Tower from the top of the tower.
Taking a photo with young handsome David.
David's Tower is actually a museum which bring us through the history from the Canaanite Period, First Temple Period, Assyrian Siege, to the Second Temple Period. It also talks about the Babylonian Period, the Greek Civilisation (Hellenistic period and Herodian Times), the late Roman and Byzantine Period and Mamluk and Ottoman Period and finally the British Mandate. It's a great history class for me, but also information overload.. so much that I'm not posting a lot of things up here.. hahah
This picture says "The Land of Israel is in the center of the world and Jerusalem is in the center of the Land of Israel"

Walking along the alleys of Jerusalem... I saw a burning bush!!
Guess where is this place? Give you a hint => Look at the rumbles and stones on the right.
Mark 13: 1
And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!" And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down."

The Southern Wall and the Southern steps.
I forgot the reason why we are here. The only thing I can remember is that we are taught Matthew 24:1-28 here. =)
