Leaving Jordan!

Boarded the bus after breakfast and eewww.. i felt queasy in my stomach..
it definitely didn't feel good.

Between 8am and 2pm, we had 3 more destinations to go. One is a Byzantine church, another is a mosaic factory, and the last but not least is Mt Nebo-- the place where Moses stood, overlooking the promised land as he was not allowed to enter.

I was beginning to feel really sick. At every stop, I would run to the toilet. The runs had begun. =( I told Cheryn about it and she gave me a charcoal pill but I know that charcoal pills have no effect on me. On the 3rd stop, Rev Stephen asked "how is it going?" I replied "No good." =(

When we reached the customs, I took my luggage and reached for my usual anti-diarrhoea pills. I popped one into my mouth. Feeling really ill, i asked Wai Sze if I could check in first. I was thinking of running to a washroom after checking-in. But nature didn't let me have it my way.

I puked at the customs check in counter!! OH MAN, what a public display.. But oh what love, what care and concern I was showered upon by the aunties. Plastic bags, company to the washroom, waiting, advices and a whole bunch of medicated oil.

Thank God that I wasn't quarantined at the customs.

I took the first flight, puked on the plane, choked the basin (cos I wasn't fast enough to reach the bowl).

Puked a few more times during the 7 hours transit.

Took an anti-vomiting pill.

Still puked twice on the second leg of the flight.

Went without food for 30 hours.

Reached Singapore one hour later than the expected arrival time.

Seen a doctor first. Before reaching home.

What an eventful trip. But through it all, I thank God for His wonderful timing. If the chicken pox came out before I left, chances are I wouldn't have left for the trip at all. Despite the pox, I was enjoying myself without any discomfort at all. Thank God that the food poisoning only came on the last day when the trip is over. Though it was a gruelling 30 hours of constant vomitting and diarrheao and without food, i was definitely glad that it didn't happen in the middle of the trip!

Job 1:21

"The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. "

Blessed be the name of the Lord!
