At Doha- Transiting to the Holy Land

9.30am Here we are at Doha.. Taking a few shots from my window seats. Having been warned about tight security in the Middle East Customs, I won't be taking any photos during the clearance. So here we are at Doha (the words on the airport controller says "Welcome to Doha!")Hmay and her mom exploring an A&W for ice-cream.. as for me, i'm contented with the meal I just had on the plane.. and come on.. it's early in the morning.. my mommy says, no ice-cream in the morning =P Currency traded here is in Riyals, but USD is accepted as well.. as for which part of the world is this.. i'm sorry.. i'm still trying to find out too =P [Doha is the Capital City of Qatar. Qatar is an Arab Emirate (part of UAE).. I didn't even know that Qatar is a country even though I was taking Qatar airways.. so paiseh =P ]

11.30am SGT (6.30am there)

Hmay and I at the Transit Area with our free meal. Is this breakfast or lunch? I'm also confused. But it didn't matter as long as we have food at regular intervals.

What do you do when you have a 7 hours transit?

Some aunties here are doing bible study, some children there were playing monopoly. If you walk slowly, you'll take about 1 hour to finish walking through the Duty Free and other shops. There's an internet cafe where, if you managed to get a booth, get to surf the internet for free. (Yup, that's where I used to send some mails to some of you) and there was a playground... I didn't put up the photos here.. but Hmay was hooking playing some of the games at the playground... and the kiddies just came surrounding us.. HAHA

Anyway, it was a good time of rest for me as I took a nap, and managed to catch up on my reading (the book of Luke and the Study Guide).

15th Nov 10pm SGT (4pm Jordanian/Israeli Time)

After another 4 hours flight, we finally reached Jordan and could finally breath in fresh air after having been travelling and kept indoors for the last 20 hours!

And how beautiful it is to have a rainbow (can you see it on the right bottom) greet us as we begin to journey nearer to the Holy Land?

5pm Jordanian Time

It's only 5pm and the sun has begun to set. All we could see is the sun rays peaking over the mountain ridges of Israel. Soon, it'll be 24 hours on this journey to reach/enter Israel.

6.00pm Had a quick stop at the Dead Sea on the Jordanian side facing the Israeli side.
So funny that most people were taking photos of the sign rather than the sea itself... =P

8.00pm Finally Crossed the Jordanian Valley Border
And it is all dark now.. They say, when you look across, if you see yellow lights, you'll know it's Israeli houses, if it's white lights, it's from the Jordanian side.. how interesting to have such distinction, especially at the borders. =)
8.30pm Reached our lodging for the next 5 nights and had dinner!!

I have absolutely no idea.. looks like brinjal stuffed with some mixed vegetables.. looks like vegetables wrapping some sort of rice... and the soup below.. like chicken soup i think.. very salty..

No worries, mom! It was good proper food that we have for dinner! I didn't take any pictures of desserts. But they were nice too! =)

10pm Israeli Time (4am SGT 16th November)

What a long tiring journey. I hit my snug little corner of my room in the chalet and fell asleep almost immediately.
