Seeing the Whole Wide World in China

This is the ferry which brought me safety East to ShenZhen. I took a bus straight down to where Windows of the World is.
Along the way, I saw some threatening clouds (go away please) and IBM..er.. Lenov0.
Mountains and the lingering grey clouds..
Here we are, welcomed by the Happy Valley signboard.
Crowne Plaza? At 600SGD per night? Er.. no, I just need a map please..
and thank God for a cheapo hostel behind Crowne Plaza which costs RMB188 per night. The facilities are really bare.. the knob for the tap is wonky.. but at least there's air-con and someone else's internet which I could use =P

After putting down the heavy backpack.. yes, after 2 days of carrying and walking, the backpack can get quite heavy, here I am at the Windows of the World! p.s: that pyramid you see behind is actually just the MRT station.
This is the real welcome.

This is my RMB120 ticket to the Windows of the World.

The world globe greeted me as I enter.

The amphitheatre surrounded by different pillars from different eras and parts of the world.

This looks familiar. But is this eastern or middle eastern?
Stepping into Asia.
This is the grand palace of the Thai King, to the scale of 1:15.

This is Japan's Imperial Palace, also to the scale of 1:15.

Cambodia's Angkor Wat. Oh man, all along I thought that Angkor Wat was just a piece of wall (like St Paul's Ruin). I didn't know that it is such a big plot of land! Maybe my next destination for my next vacation. =P

Need I say more? Imagine seeing a Merlion out of Singapore. Suddenly it's soo familiar.. suddenly nostalgia.. suddenly I feel the warmness of home ..

Any guesses? This is from Malaysia. Apparently a monastry in Penang. Oh well, I might get a chance to visit Penang this year too.. so let me see if I'll get to see this "famous landmark" while I'm there.

Teapot in Persia.

Colossal Stupe in Nepal. Hmmm.. yet another place which I might visit this year.. Will I get to go?

And now to India. From the Kandarge Mahadrua Temple to the Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal is so huge, that both the white and the red building is part of Taj Mahal.

And now to more european places.

I didn't get the name of the beautiful buildings on top. But I do know that the Cologne Cathedral from Germany below is the 4th largest cathedral in the world.

Need I say more. This is the leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. Notre Dame de Paris!
Mermaid from Denmark.
Walking around St Mark's Square in Venice.

Woohoo! Now I'm in Sydney!

And then I'm at the Ayers Rock of Australia!
New York City with the Twin Towers still intact. The Eiffel Tower in the background and something else in the foreground.. =P I can't remember!
Another place which I can't remember..

Eygpt!
The pyramids and the Sphinx!
Into the pyramid, and checking out the tomb of Pharoah..

Oh, I love this place. The world's widest waterfall, Niagara falls!
Viewing the world from the 2nd storey of Eiffel Tower! Can you see the Big Ben and the London bridge?

There are so many more photos which I can't put up here, and so many more photos which I didn't manage to take as I had run out of battery. But this is a truly educational park to learn about the world. The night ended with a musical concert of folklores from around the world.
We know that God created Adam and Eve.. How did the world become so diverse?
Genesis 11
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
3 They said to each other, "Come, let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."
5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called Babel
—because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
