In order to save time, I choose to wake up early. But apparently, shops here (both in China and Macau) don't seem to open early.

So here's enjoying milo and simple digestive biscuits which I had backpack along.

Enjoying the sea view.

Wanted to catch the morning sunrise, but it was too cloudy. As I observed the looming clouds, I couldn't help but lament "No, Lord, please let the rain go away. One rainy day yesterday was bad enough.. The trying times back home is bad enough.. please let me have an enjoyable break here please." Then it seemed as if the Lord is speaking to me through Genesis 39 (
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%2039;&version=31; ). Joseph didn't have it all smoothly. He was brought out of the pits, and just as he was beginning to do well in life, he was maligned by Pharoah's wife and ended up in Prison-- back to square one with nothing! Yet, through it all, verse3 and verse 23 tells us that the LORD was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did -- and that is despite his circumstances.
Lord, I choose to live a pleasing life in Your Sight despite the circumstances in my life and I trust that what You had done for Joseph, You'll do for me too.
The rain soon started and forced me back to Bihai hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. It's the best budget hotel I've stayed in this whole trip. And 2 single beds (whether it is 1 person staying or 2 persons staying) is only RMB198 per night! Complete with free flow mineral water and free wireless access! Plus really good helpful and courteous staff! =) hmm.. do I sound like Joseph being content in his circumstances? =P

Walking along the backlanes where the residents stay.

Wet market selling all sorts of birds.. and eggs..

From dried food (the lady here is picking out the stem from the gingko nut) to fresh vegetables .

And more exotic stuff like turtles..

Finally the stalls are open at 9am for a proper breakfast!

I tried the chee cheong funm and sesame ball and pumpkin pancakes.

And thought I could do with some more.. unfortunately Crystal Dumplings neither looked good nor taste up to expectation. =(

Acted like a kid on a good old playground. Feels like Singapore in the 1980s.

This is the view from my hotel's highest floor.

This is Zhuhai.

Behind is Xiangzhou Port.

The cozy room. =)

Walking along Lovers' Road.

There are loads of sea cockroaches on the fences.

Thank God for clearing the skies!

Walking away from Bihai Hotel, and the XiangZhou Port in the background.
Passed by a park....

More nice scenary..

Sighting the monument/statue of Zhuhai.

They call this Zhuhai's "Statue of Liberty".

No, she is not a mermaid.. she's a fishergirl..

I couldn't find the sign that says Lover's Road. Then just before I left, I realised that the phrase "Lover's Road" is imprinted on the stone fences at the bottom. If you could enlarge this picture, you'll see the tiny engraved words. I wonder.. is it possible to be walking down a path, not knowing that you've already been walking on it?

Took bus 99 to Jiuzhou Port, and passed by the Jiuzhou Airport below.

Here's Jiuzhou Port where the ferry to ShenZhen leaves every 30 mins.

I realised that taking boat rides across cities are like taking buses.

You just get a ticket and wait for the next boat to leave.

The boat ticket is 95RMB.

Going to Shekou Port in ShenZhen.

This feels just like taking the ferry to Batam!

Picture through the windows of the ferry.

Islands along the way.

Reaching ShenZhen soon.

Time to explore the World in China!
