I had prayed for God's perfect timing. And in according to His gracious love, mercy, grace and will, He had planned everything so perfectly.
(1) I had been worried about the approval of the new maid - that it had to be approved before the existing maid's work permit expires. THANK God that the approval came in time.
(2) And because I had an overseas "business" trip to take, I was hoping that the approval would come before I leave for the trip. THANK God that the approval came just in time.
(3) I was concerned if I should cancel the overseas trip if the new maid reaches us earlier, because I thought I should be around at home to supervise the 2 maids together. THANK God that the maid did not come before I was away.
(4) I was concerned if I should cancel the overseas trip if the new maid reaches us during the period I was away from home, because I thought I should be around at home to supervise the 2 maids together. THANK God that the maid did not come when I was away.
(5) I was concerned that the new maid would not be able to get her passport or pass her employee test or fail to be admitted to Singapore because that would delay the whole process of getting the new maid in (and resulting in a very tight timeframe of selecting another new maid before the existing maid's work permit expires). THANK God that the maid came just in time.
God's Timing so perfect, that the new maid arrives exactly on the same afternoon I came back to Singapore. God's grace so wonderful, that the new maid adapted well to the new culture. God's mercy so overflowing, that the new maid is willing and teachable. God's love so overflowing that we could only speak of God's goodness and answered prayers.
Ecclesiastes 3
1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.
I thank God, for with this peace settled, I would be able to go for another company event "offshore" tomorrow night, and perhaps join the Young Adult Fellowship retreat thereafter. Praise the Lord!!
