As I was walking along the bright morning road, I began to notice different clusters of people staring up into the sky. They will look and look again.
And then I realised that I was about to witness the eclipse of the century! I could see that the moon has covered the sun partially. It is a crescent sun! But my camera couldn't capture it because the sun was too bright and it overwhelms the moon so much that unless you look at it intently, you wouldn't have noticed that the moon is there.. Perhaps a revelation of the song lyrics which says "When all the things that surround become shadows in the light of You." God's glory so overwhelming that everything else becomes nothing but a shadow in His presence. And even the light's so bright that you can't even see the shadows!
Here I am at the Fisherman's Wharf. And the sky is still bright.. it's only when I've come back to Singapore that I checked and learnt that only part of China was in complete darkness. Macau only experienced the 67% coverage.
The entrance of the Fisherman's Wharf has the Rome experience.
And for a while, I felt that the remake of all these architectures has caused the orginal structures to lose their flavour and authenticity. In the past, people needed to travel all the way to Rome to experience and say that they have been there done that. Now, all the man-made structures are so easily replicated. We hardly feel a sense of awe when we see the real thing. We can't relate to the hardwork which the people from the ancient times put in to built these structures with their bare hands.
And European styled buildings can be easily constructed anywhere..
So the photo on the left above is the outside and the photo on the right above is the inside.
Ok, enough of man made architectures. Time to go get the snacks for the folks back in Singapore! I travelled all the way back to the famous Bakery only to be surprised by the Hong Kong Actress doing some advertising.
After getting the stuff, I went back to the ferry terminal to take the free shuttle bus to Venetian.
So the photo on the left above is the outside and the photo on the right above is the inside. Blue Painted Sky just like the ones you see in Las Vegas, complete with water canals and gondolas in the inside of the building.
But seriously, nothing beats the real Venetian in Las Vegas, though I can see the magnificence of Venetian compared to the rest of the casinoes in Macau Macau.
The painted ceilings, not just within the hotel, but also outside the hotel.
No doubt one of the most recent casinoes with a little "oomph" for those who have not yet been to Vegas.
Took the Shuttle bus from Venetian to the Airport.
Checking in and walking around. I like the charging station below which I think other airports can learn to do likewise - providing power points for laptops and different brand adaptors to charge handphones.
Logging onto the free internet while spending the rest of my money on a few more egg tarts.
If you want a budget plane, you'll need to walk up the flight yourself. =P
Soaring above the clouds.
The sun is setting.
Reaching Singapore and catching the sunset as I land home.
Home Sweet Home!

MRT home!

Would the egg tart which I bought at the famous bakery survive the 8hours (I bought it at 11am, travelled to Venetian, went to the airport, flew on the plane, took the MRT back..)
Mom and Dad, this is for you. =)
And to the rest of my friends.
These are for you.

Thanking God for a really interesting trip. I braved the typhoon and caught the eclipse.
I walked, backpacked and found lodging wherever I went. I took the cab, the bus, the train and the ferry. I travelled around the world in half a day and visited the whole of china in a morning. And through it all, I thank God for His perfect timing and providence for everything. =)
This is a journey which started out in faith and a journey which ended in thanksgivings.
