The papers said that this year's Christmas light-up and decorations are one of the nicest around.
As I walked along the streets in town, I too couldn't help by take photos of the various christmas trees.
Whether the trees are found indoors or outdoors, made of teddy bears or mega-sized rochers, many would just paused to take a photo with the trees.
Over years, the trees have evolved.
They can be made of glass or metal. Somehow, during this season, you'll know that it is a "tree" when you walk pass one.
The lights around the trees bring attention to the trees.
With great creativity, almost anything can be hung on a tree.
From lights and stars to snow flakes and trinkets.
If one tree is not enough, you can have a whole row of trees..
It can be simple, yet elegantly decorated.
For once, I paused and mused. Why are there christmas trees during christmas? Some say the pine tree symbolises evergreen. But why is there are need to symbolise evergreen-ness?What does evergreen-ness stand for? Does evergreen-ness meant eternity? Do all mankind yearn for everlasting eternity?
I suddenly realised that the most precious thing that ever hung on a tree was Jesus Christ. God came to earth as a baby to fulfill the long awaited promise of a Savior. Thirty-three years after His birth, Jesus willingly laid down His life for us. The most powerful message that has ever been or ever will be shared this Christmas is Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed
In Jesus Christ, that's where we can find life eternal.
