Back to Familiar Grounds

Woke up to beautiful sights once again (how i wish this would last forever). When will I see this again? I wondered. (I know that someday I'll be back to "reality" again.)

Taking a photo with our assistant guide.
Continuing downwards from 1940m high.

Guess what is this?

Even chickens has a nice house in the modern Gurung village.

This shot makes me feel like I'm in Japan. With cherry blossom trees and 'fuji' mountain at the back.

Nepal or Japan?
Cherry Blossoms galore!
We survived the trek!
More photos.. oh.. i'm such a poser..

Bougainvillae and snow-capped (Fish Tail) mountain - a cross between tropical and temperate climate.
Enjoying the trail downwards.
The Lord God said in Genesis 8:22
"As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease."

Jesus said in John4:35
"Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'?
I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. "

And streams of water.

Mark 4:26-29
Jesus also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like.
A man scatters seed on the ground.
Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up,
the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.
All by itself the soil produces grain—
first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.
As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come."

"Do you want to go across the river on the rocks here or totally avoid the water by using the bridge above?" My assistant guide gave me two options to choose from.

I looked at the 3 thin tree trunks which was lying higher and taller than me, and thought why not be more adventurous?

Kim, if you are looking at this, don't laugh k? I know that you were stuck up there on the bridge not daring to cross for a good 10 seconds until another trekker who passed by lent you his hand :P

The photo above is in the correct orientation: Mountains on the lower part of the picture, and the clouds floating horizontally across the sky. As for the grass, yes, they were sticking out horizontally by the cliff. =P
Waiting for lemons to drop...
Not from the sky, but from the tree!
Hey, I recognised that river! That is where we first started 6 days came from..
Butterflies reappearing as we descended.

Be careful where you step on..

And I guess where there are insects, there will be reptiles...Almost reaching the "end" of the trek. See the jubilee victory Kim is showing!
Kudos to our porter who carried our bags the days on our trek. It's rather embarrassing to admit that they usually only get going after we start our journey and yet they never fail to arrive earlier than us at each destination point!
Mini watermelons?
Beware! Poisonous prickly leaves.

Houses on stilts by the cliff.

White Horse Prince Charming.. when will the real one appear? =P

By the River. The psalmist declared in Psalms 78:16 that "God brought streams out of a rocky crag and made water flow down like rivers".
"Ding dong ding dong ding dong"... the good old familiar sounds of the animal traffic. The difference from the honking of the vehicles in the city.
John 7:38
Whoever believes in Jesus, as the Scripture has said,
streams of living water will flow from within him.
Have a refreshing Coca Cola at the end of the trek!
Which poster girl do you like for the Coca Cola Poster?
Familiar Momo, Pancake and good old Green Chilli Sauce!
Does the vegetables look different? No longer chopped and minced up. We've successfully thought the Nepalese how to cook Vegetables the way the Chinese Singaporeans does it =P

Baby donkeys born to carry and transport stuff.
See what I found in the scriptures mentioning about a young donkey.
John 12:14
Jesus found a young donkey and at upon it, as it is written,
"Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion, see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey's colt."

Yes, that's a praying mantis.

Existing the Conservatory Area Checkpoint.
Passing by the daily living of a village.
And on our way back to Pokhara!
Push Horn! Horn Please!
Reached Lake Phewa.
A pity that it is too cloudy to view to entire Annapurna range in the horizon.
Enjoying the Serenity in the Lake... No wonder the song goes "I've got peace like a river, I've got peace like a river, I've got peace like a river in my soul."
Row row row your boat gently down the stream, merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream.
Isaiah 48:17-19
This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
"I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.

If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,

your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
Ending the day with great hotel food (proper food!) with Nepali Traditional Performance!
