And we just keep going up

Woke up to a cool bright morning. As the sun rises, the snow capped mountains revealed itself in the light.

Enjoying the Million Dollar view from the windows from my room.

Saying hi to a fellow Singaporean Trekker from another team.

A sumptuous breakfast to start the day!

Introducing anticlockwise from bottom left: The curry puff look alike is actually called a spring roll. Chapatti, Tibetan Pun Bread, Western pancake, and the mess right in the middle is scrambled eggs. And below, you see a really authentic tea : Ginger Tea!

Leaving the humble lodge. Above is the room which we stayed in!

But before we can get on our way, we first need to let the donkeys pass by.

From Birethanti to Tadapani.

Crossing mountains and valleys.

Moving towards the ice-capped mountain!

Rabbits!

Lunch at the halfway point at Banthanti.

Goats and lambs.

Big fat chicken taller than my knee!

Big fat moth =P

Trekking through a forestry trail.

Traffic Jam on the mountains?

How do we cross?

Here comes the shepherd who lead the flocks of sheep away. Yes, flocks.. see the 2nd batch waiting obediently while the shepherd clears the first batch here. This reminded me of God's Word in Ezekial 34:12"As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep." God looks after me =) and we passed by the sheep and continued with our journey, enjoying the Autumn colours in the forest.

Take a break! Have a Singaporean Bak Kwa!

Cool and clear waterfall in the jungle.

Bridge over clear and still waters. =)

Enjoying a moment of serenity.

Crossing through uneven grounds precariously.

Reaching Nangethanti for lunch.

When the body is too tired, it rather rests than eat. All I took was this warm cup of hot chocolate.

As the weather got colder, I put on the little red cap I bought on the first day.. Guess what? The next thing I saw was a bull.. Oh man.. will it charge at me because I am wearing a red cap? ;P

I like the idea that the people uses these thick branches to form the fence along the cliff.

Overlooking a little village.

Roots?

Reaching soon..

After nearly 3000+ steps, we are still going up to our lodge for the night..

Can you see the snow capped mountains at the back? Not as clear as earlier in the day, right?

Yet another million dollar view from the room. But unfortunately, it seemed quite misty there.

A night of unpacking.. Do you want to bathe? Consider wisely.. it's really cold out there.

My suggestion was to take out all the clothes that I want to wear, (yes a few layers) and then lay them out nicely in order, including the wet tissues. Then with everything in place, change and clean up in 20 seconds. =P

Warming myself by the fireplace. Know why the snow capped mountains was not as clear as yesterday? I was told that it is snowing at the mountain top...and as the conversation goes around the fireplace, we found out that the temperature that night is minus 5 degrees...

Job 37:5-6
"God's voice thunders in marvelous ways;
he does great things beyond our understanding.
He says to the snow, "Fall on the earth," and to the rain shower, "Be a mighty downpour."

What a mighty God I serve.
