Finally the meeting ended at a dreadful late hour around 7pm. My colleagues and I left office with the phrase "teamwork" resonating in our hearts.. how do we portray teamwork? how?
My first colleague got into his car, said "bye" to us and drove off. Myself and another colleague, got onto another colleague's car and "zzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzz" oops.. The engine wouldn't start! Immediately, the owner of the car said "this is the time to call the first colleague" .
The first colleague came back, looked around, made some phone calls and figured out that the battery is dead. We need a jumpstart cable to help to get the car going (at least going to the workshop). And guess what? Both cars had no jumpstart cables! And where our office is located, there's hardly a soul, much less any cars in this super deserted area at this hour! After a while, Heck right? Afterall we are all salepersons, why should we be so shy to ask for help?". We figured out that we'll just stop whatever vehicle that is driving along the way. "So after some 30mins finally got the cables and managed to at least start up the car so that it can be driven to the workshop.
It was a case of teamwork. Everyone staying back to help one colleague whose car engine cannot start. We could have just left him there to fend for himself while we all go home. So is that teamwork? We portrayed it.. tho a little out of context from the workplace.. So does that count as teamwork..?
Anyway, I got home pretty late. Glad to have a friend popped an msn to me and directed me to some weird blog. It's been a tiring day. Have a break!
