PIlls, Tablets, Cough Syrups, Vitamins and the Renown MC

I always wonder how do those bloggers find something to blog constantly. Doesn't life just sometimes fall back into endless routines after a while?

Anyway, in order to keep this blog alive, I took a photo of the medicine the doctor gave me on Monday and the precious piece of paper called the MC, known as "Medical Certificate".

It was only after I've been to the US and spoken to some folks that I realise why one of my US vendors always joke about the term "MC". It's because in the US, if you are sick, you just call in sick! You don't have to go and see doctor first to get a piece of paper that certifies that you are unfit for duty. Your boss gotta trust you.. or is it due to human rights? =p

Anyway, for my non-Singaporean friends, here's what an MC (that green piece of paper) looks like.
It basically says "To Whom It May Concern: This is to certify that XXX is unfit for duty/school for XX Days from XXX to XXX. " There's also this clause on the paper that states "This certificate is not valid for absence from court or other judicial proceedings unless specifically stated." Hmmm.. i wonder how do lawyers who need to represent at the court take MCs....
