Mom has begun cutting away the lilles as they fade away. I took a snapshot of this before I left home this morning.
It's been an interesting 12 days. How short, but how enriching. To see the beginning and end of life. Well, not really the beginning.. I didn't see it grow from a seedling.. But these 12 days are the time the flowers bloomed and displayed their glory the most.
"Show me, O LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man's life is but a breath. Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro: He bustles about, but only in vain." -- Psalm 39:4-6
