2 times in 3 days, i saw this quote. The first time i saw the quote, it was a magnet sticking on my business partner's cupboard. The second time i saw it, it was a bookmark lying on an opened diary placed on my colleague's desk.
Did a search on the internet and realised that the above quote was adapted from Henry Kissinger's "There cannot be a crisis today. My schedule is full."
Then I was reminded that the Chinese describes ‘crisis’ with two words.
One word stands for danger; the other for opportunity -- teaching us that in a crisis, one should be aware of the danger but recognising the opportunity at the same time.
One word stands for danger; the other for opportunity -- teaching us that in a crisis, one should be aware of the danger but recognising the opportunity at the same time. "Father, make of me a crisis man. Bring those I contact to decision. Let me not be a milepost on a single road; make me a fork, that men must turn one way or another on facing Christ in me." -- Jim Elliot
I shouldn't be wallowing in self-pity thinking that I'm in a period of tough times. Instead, whatever the Lord has placed in my life, I would use it as a living testimony for Him.
Lord, teach me to turn the crises in my life into opportunities to make of me a crisis friend to people around me.
