I was surprised by the bouquet of flowers waiting for me as I got home. The giver said "It's too special a day to miss the occasion." So he waited patiently so that he could give his token of love on this special day. I had almost forgotten that the date September Ninth 2009 represented long and everlasting in Chinese.
As I laid down the roses on my desk at home, I sat down for a while to admire the blooming buds -- silently thankful for the love showered upon me.And silently as if Love is speaking, I saw the roses sitting neatly between 2 verses. The Chinese Calligraphy records the words of Jesus in John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." While 1 Corinthians 13:13 reminds me that "There are three things that last: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love"

What a sound reminder of God's everlasting and eternal Love on a special day like this.

Decided to check out if God has any apt "9" "9" verses for me in the book of Wisdom.
