God's Promise

It was a beautiful morning. No, it was actually a thunderous one and because of that, I got out of my house earlier than usual to avoid the rain, thus reaching office earlier than usual. (Praise God for holding the thunderstorm till I reached office safely!)

But it was still a beautiful morning indeed!
Greeted by colleagues personally the moment I reached office.
Greeted by colleagues from overseas via email when I opened my mailbox.
Greeted by friends via msn when I logged into the MSN.
Greeted by friends via smses throughout the day.

Isn't it nice to know that you are being remembered? =D

Nearly half the office is on leave due to the holiday over the weekend, but there was still enough ladies from the insidesales and marketing team to organise a "ladies' lunch" (for me!).

And what was most touching to me was that it was attended by our big big big boss! (She's our boss's boss's boss's boss, the owner of the company!) And being ever so generous, she treated us to an extremely full and sumptous japanese lunch! *Thank you, Mdm Han!*

After the extremely enjoyable lunch, we went back office and sat back in our seats to resume working. Our big big big boss went to the washroom and when she came out, she annouced "Petrine, God has prepared a rainbow for you today!"

Perhaps it was because it was the big big big boss who said it, perhaps it's because I still remember missing the rainbows in March (see http://princesspetrine.blogspot.com/2009/03/waiting-for-rainbow.html ) that the moment I heard it, I ran to the window to check out the rainbow!

Like a little kid peering excitedly out of the window, I looked for the rainbow and saw it from the corner of my eye. Turning and pointing to the rainbow, I felt a silly grin on my face. Wow! God, did You really prepare that rainbow for me on my birthday?

It wasn't just a beautiful morning, it was also a beautiful afternoon! Not only friends and colleagues remembered me, God too remembers me! For a moment, I thought that's God's way of revealing His Presence to me and speaking to me like He did to the prophet Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 1: 28
Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
