Wanted to try a Gastronomia meal (http://www.dapaolo.com.sg/) as I've heard a few rave reviews from friends. The cost was supposed to be affordable..around $20++ per set. But guess what happened on the faithful February 14th? The set menu was fixed at $90++ per pax. Not willing to sacrifice hundreds of dollars for good food, nice ambience and an unforgettable experience? Then you won't get that experience.
One famous story is retold in the Gospel of Matthew.
"While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor." Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her." Matthew 26:6-13

If you don't pay the price, you won't get to enjoy it.

Salvation came at a price and Jesus paid for it by dying on the cross for our sins. BUT if we don't accept the fact that He has paid for it, we too won't get to enjoy the taste of heaven.

Serving God will require the costs of time, labour and even money. If we aren't willing to pay the costs of sacrifice, we will not taste the sweet fruits of labour.
Romans 12: 1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.
Lord, help me to truly understand what it means to offer it all unto You.
