This is the Chinese Valentine's where Cowherd meets Weaving Maiden once a year.
Though a folklore with rather absurd story, the very fact that love never fails remains as a touching story. Here's a cut and paste of the conclusion :
"Finally, the persisting love between Cowherd and Weaving Maiden touched the Queen Mother of the West. She promised them that they could pass the Milky Way and meet together on the 7th day of the 7th moon in every year. The kind-hearted magpie felt happy with this. To let Cowherd and Weaving Maiden reunion earlier, they flew in groups towards the Milky Way and came together tightly to form a long magpie bridge in the 7th night of the 7th moon in every year."
Cowherd and Weaving Maiden waited patiently to meet each other.
Cowherd and Weaving Maiden's love never changed for each other.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
May all Cowherds and Weaving Maidens meet each other soon! =)
