A Mosque as a Guide

You wouldn't believe that a Mosque(yes, the physical building, not a mosquito) guided me?

But it's true!



It was my colleague's wedding and I was trying to find the hotel around Bugis and I decided to take the shortcut..



And me being me, I just go in the "general direction". And then I felt as if I was almost lost. So I looked up.. hoping for some landmark.. And I saw a mosque.



Remembering a mosque on the map, I found my bearing and eventually reached my destination.

As I walked towards my destination, keeping the mosque in sight, I was surprised that a day would come that a mosque would serve as my guide.



But that was only a physical guide for a temporal moment. 15 minutes to be exact, to lead me to where I want to be.



Dear friends, do you know exactly where you are right now? Where are you heading towards in this life? Where do you want to be? Do you have a Guide as you journey along this life?



"For such is God, Our God forever and ever; He will guide us until death." Psalms 48:14



And yes, while the Mosque served as a landmark for me, I knew that God was with me as I snaked in and out the dark alleys of the small lanes, covering me with His Hand of protection, bringing me to safety.



"And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. " --Isaiah 58:11
