God vs Air

“上个礼拜在唐崇荣的讲道上，学到一些东西。唐牧师给了一个蛮好笑的比喻。非信徒们常常说：

“基督徒的神很霸道，说什么不信他就得下地狱，信他才能上天堂，我就偏偏不信，你能拿我怎样?!” 唐牧师说他会如此回答：


空气说：“你吸我，就不会死，你不吸我，就会死！”

人就说：“你这么霸道，我就偏偏不吸！看你能怎样！”

空气就说“我不会怎样，因该是看你会怎样才对。。。”

哈哈。。。的确很好笑，但是如果你想想后面的意义，你会感慨吧。其实救恩就和空气一样，是神赐的恩典来的，不是害我们的东西，但人不领情，觉得神很凶，硬要逼人信他，其实人跟神斗气又何苦呢？到头来，吃亏的不是神，是你啊。人就是那么幼稚，我们还没信神之前可能也是这样吧。我自己很惭愧，我不是个很积极传福音的人，我怕的也就是在面对这些以上所描诉的这类人时，因该如何回答，但我要开始学习，我的责任是要传，他信不信是圣灵的工作。唐牧师也提到其实神给我们很多基本恩典，比如说好人会得到阳光，坏人也会，其中一个基本恩典就是人的良知，但是末日越近，神就会慢慢收回这些基本恩典，所以我们今天看到地球的气候变化，是神在慢慢收回这些基本恩典。更靠近我们生活的而又能目睹的就是人的良知在慢慢消失，以前，在房里做的事，现在可以搬出大庭广众做，暴力，色情，奸诈好像是理所当然的人性，价值观慢慢在变，你们应该看到吧。。。从讲道上，我学到的是，在这时代中，我更要在神的话语里面站立得稳，不会让这些世界觉得理所当然的事而被动摇。求神指引前路。"


An Elder in church mentioned about the recent Myanmar Typhoon and Sichuan Earthquake. It was a very sobering thought. He said, even if you were to save someone's life today, that person would still die some years down the road. The point he is making that that it is really not just about helping someone live longer on this physical earth, but about sharing the way to eternal life.
