Singapore Flower Festival 2008

Time flies. It was barely 18 months ago that i visited the first Garden Festival in 2007 and it's back again! And if not for Hmay, I probably wouldn't have taken time off to come (in the midst of dire work stress! =P )

Well, there's a time to work and a time to enjoy! So here's entering a "Season of Enchantment".

Been a long time since I used my good old digital camera, so it took a little time to get used to.

I didn't take as much photos as in 2007 as I've seen most of the flowers before already. But there are some interesting creations like the montage of marilyn monroe below which is made up of "clumps" of different coloured potted plants grown horizontally from the wall.

Other interesting creations include the environmentally friendly competition amongst the primary schools.... Using recycled materials to beautify the place with flowers..

How about a shoe for a vase?

Here's Hmay wow-ing over the endless variations of orchids.

An installation of er.. obviously Singapore's Flag..

And my favourite shot, unfortunately a little blur.

A 3D rainbow made by different coloured orchids.
