Fellowship of the Seven Sisters

During my uni days, I formed deep friendships with a special group of 7 sisters. It was also during the craze over the Lord of the Rings. So spoofing the title of the first sequel "The Fellowship of the Ring", I refer to this special group of 7 sisters as "Fellowship of the Seven Sisters".

Flipping through some old articles which I had written when I was in university, I was reminded that someone said that there's a constellation of stars also called the seven sisters. And apparently, they are found at a corner of the Taurus constellation. I did a search online and found that it is true.

These seven stars are more commonly known as the Pleiades. There have been many mythologies, both positive and negatives, linked with it. Yet what caught my attention was that apparently the constellation has been mentioned in the Bible too!
Amos 5:8 "Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name. " King James Bible
Job:38:31 “Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades? Can you loose the cords of Orion?” NIV

I can't question our God, but only thank Him for all His Creations, including the seven sisters He has so graciously brought into my life during my university days to bless me and encourage me.
Thank You Lord for the many other stars that You've given me in my life. The Lord is truly Your Name. =)
